I started this web design firm with a single partner in April 2003 with a vision to influence the way SMBs contract for web design services. Market demands led us in the direction of web software product development with a heavy focus on community while utilizing unusual and effective marketing strategies exploiting relationships between previously unidentified market demographics.

As a small business owner of a technology startup my responsibilities included nearly every facet of running a business to some degree, sales, sourcing, IT and production to a large degree.

New Media Designer

Reporting to Financial Controller:

Primary responsibilities included systems maintenance, planning and implementation. Secondary and growing to primary responsibility was the Six Sigma Process Improvement Program.

1. Maintenance of existing intranet and teaming with new corporate parent to define intranet solutions
2. Systems migration facilitation and training
3. Network and pc maintenance
4. Six Sigma process improvement training
5. Six Sigma Green Belt projects.

Under Nickles Industrial Manufacturing
Reporting directly to CFO and VP Sales:

Primary responsibilities included strategic planning of advertising media buys as well as contract negotiations and all graphic design duties for print, web and video mediums. Secondary responsibilities consisted of application of new technology and media to improving employee productivity.

1. Developed advertising campaigns and materials for print, web, video and CD ROM mediums.
2. Designed and developed corporate intranet (employee support and training including network deliverable video) from the ground up at zero increase in IT budget (built on existing infrastructure)

Inside Sales

Allied Bearings Supply Company, Ponca City, OK
(March 1988 - February 2001)

I began working at Allied Bearings shortly after graduating High School. Originally hired as a delivery driver in title, the immediate job responsibilities included deliveries, warehousing, taking phone orders, filling orders, billing orders, filing and retail counter and phone sales.

At the time of my departure from Allied thirteen years later I had outgrown the opportunities available within the company. In that time I had the opportunity to make several noteworthy contributions to the success of the branch office as well as the company while learning a great deal about power transmission components and systems engineering.

1. Developed good relationships with and maintained the satisfaction of the branch's largest customers.
2. Developed new customers and loyal ongoing relationships.
3. Developed new business processes, training programs and vendor relationships to increase profitability of the company and customers.
4. Designed and implemented new technology programs and training to keep employees ahead of the curve as desktop computing and the internet was just becoming a relevant and cost-effective tool for small business.
